In the evening of Wednesday, January 8th, we officially commenced our upcoming Youth Leadership Kearney (YLK) Class #31 by hosting our orientation night.
YLK program orientation provided an overview of the upcoming activities, expectations, and goals. Participants were introduced to Greg Christen and McKenna ORourke, Chair and Co-Chair respectively, and their fellow participants. The session emphasized the importance of leadership skills, teamwork, and community engagement. Attendees learned about the program's structure, including sessions schedule, group projects, and opportunities for personal growth. The orientation also covered the values of respect, responsibility, and inclusivity that guide the program. We provided information to the parents of the students; they left and the students played ice breaker games to get to know one another. Participants left with a sense of excitement and readiness to embark on the leadership journey ahead.
